January 25th. He will enter into a 1000 m race in Karlsruhe, Germany, where
he will arrive with his coach, Vyachelav Yevstratov, today. Quite possibly,
though, the most intriguing race awaits us on February 17th in Birmingham,
where Yuriy will challenge his main opponent, World Indoor champion in 800 m
Andre Bucher of Switzerland. The intensity of their duel will match the
excitement of the contest between perrenial archrivals over the same
distance, Maria Mutola and Steffi Graf
