Dear visitor!

On January 22 we celebrated the first anniversary of the launch of our
website, trackandfield.ru !

The site was registered in December of 2000, and first became accessible to
Internet surfers on January 22, 2001.

In preparation for the anniversary celebration, we changed our design, and
would like to hear your opinion of it, as well as any other comments and
suggestions that you may have. Over 3000 visitors (according to Rambler.ru)
prove that interest in Track and Field exists, despite the fact that little
or no attention is given to "The Queen of Sports" (as athletics are
reverently called in Russia) in Russian press and TV, and in
Russian-language Internet. We were also pleased with the fact that events
in Russian Track and Field drew attention of the sport`s fans from over 70
countries abroad.

Thank you, and we will try to continue providing you with the most
ineresting and up-to-date information!

A little surprise is in stock for you today. Starting immediately, we will
name the best Russian athlete of each week passed. This will help us--and
you, as we are counting on your active participation--to determine Athlete
of the Year near the end of 2002.

Athlete of the week of Jan 14-20, according to trackandfield.ru, is TATYANA
KOTOVA. An incredible long jump of 7,01 m unanimously won her the honor
